Welcome December with a Tea Giveaway!

Welcome December!
A month of decorating, cooking, entertaining, gift giving and of course tea drinking is heading our way! No matter how much I plan and organize, this month remains a busy one.
My goal is to remember the real reason for the season and simply just enjoy being in the moment.

Today's featured teacup is Royal Albert's Flower of the Month December cup and saucer: Christmas Rose

This teacup and saucer features a Lenten rose, holly and berries. The cup shape is Montrose.

I've been wanting to collect this series for some time and purchased my first (this) one last December on ebay. Next I would like to add the June teacup to my collection since it is my birth month, but the prices are pretty high for this series. Here's a pictorial link: Royal Albert Flower of the Month Series

Royal Albert began producing this series in 1970.

Well, this December teacup needs some tea. So what better teas than holiday ones?

Thanks to Kitty (Kitty's Kozy Kitchen) because she introduced me to adagio Teas when I was looking for a quality chai. While ordering a new chai online (which I'll review later), I saw they had a holiday tea sampler (featuring gingerbread, candy cane, pumpkin spice and chestnut teas).  I thought it would be a perfect gift for one of my Teacup Tales' readers. This is my first giveaway!

You can learn a bit more about these teas here. Each sample makes 8-10 cups of tea.

If you would like the opportunity to win this holiday tea sampler, please let me know in the comments section. A name will be drawn using Random Picker on Saturday, December 5. The winner will be announced on my blog and that person can email me their address. (Open only to U.S. addresses...so sorry to my Canadian & int'l readers.)

Good luck!
Nora

  2. Hi Nora. I love Adagio teas too! Would love to win, haven't tried sebveral of those. Love your teacup. They are so special, aren't they? The season does get hectic...we all need an afternoon cup of tea and time for reflection to put things back into perspective, don't we.

  4. November was a busy month at work so I'm looking forward to my holiday break in December. I've always admired the RA Flower of the Month series and would also love to add the December (for Christmas) and January (for my birthday) to my collection.

  5. I have that same teacup and will be sharing mine soon. I love it but then who doesn't love Royal Albert? I have only three Flowers of the Month teacups. They are hard to find and I would like to have all of my family members' birthdays. Good luck to your winner whoever she may be. Thank you for sharing with us this week and have a lovely week, Nora.

    Blessings,

  6. I gave my best friend the Royal Albert December Rose teacup for her birthday last year. I was able to find the story of the Christmas Rose online and included that with her teacup. My birth month is April and I love to have my tea in the Royal Albert Sweet Pea cup all during that month. It makes me feel special! Please enter me in your great giveaway. Those holiday teas sound wonderful.

  7. Dear Nora:
I always enjoy seeing the precious December Royal Albert cup and saucer. Those birthday of the month ones were always popular at my shop. Once I saw a teapot they made with one of each of the flowers on it. So glad you shared!
