Celebrating Easter
Please join me for a morning Easter Tea alfresco to celebrate new beginnings, the welcoming of spring and many other blessings.
Since the weather has been so warm, we'll have the tea in my backyard. The word "alfresco" sounds more appealing than backyard. (In reality the weather was too warm and I had to move the tea inside.)
The table is full of tea, food and Easter decor. I get so much happiness from setting holiday and themed tables. Don't you?
Here is your seat...place card holder filled with jelly beans.

Today's featured teacup is a brand new Royal Patrician from England. The pattern is Aurora.
The soft pastel flowers on the teacup are perfect for an Easter tea.
The Republic of Tea's Downton Estate Blend will be served. I prefer loose tea over bagged tea, but have to say this is one of my favorite black teas. The vanilla softens the bergamot in the early grey for a unique taste. This tea can be purchased at Cost Plus World Market stores and unfortunately not online. This tea is also a fun conversation starter for Downton Abbey recaps.
Scones and croissants along with fruit salad will be served. I like to add golden raisins to my buttery scones.
" 'Twas Easter-Sunday.
The full blossomed trees filled all the air with fragrance and with joy."
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Have a beautiful Easter weekend and thank you for joining me for tea.

Alfesco or outside...beautiful! Love your cute eggs and bunnies! The teacup pattern is called Aurora by Royal Patrician. They went out of business in 2007 and I DO miss them! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Oh my, it would be so lovely to have tea outdoors. That won't happen here for quite a while. Nora, your RP teacup is gorgeous and the flowers are perfect for an Easter tea! The runner is very sweet. Thank you for joining me for Tea Time and Happy Easter to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
How nice to have tea outside! I could have tea on the balcony, but the pollen is horrible. It's covered everything. So I will have to enjoy your outdoor tea! Your teacup is lovely and the flowers beautiful. Happy Tea Day and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteHi Nora!
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to sit at my spot at your pretty table, and I'd love a scone with my Downton Abbey tea blend. Hey, I'll bring the quiche and we can have that with our scone. Your eater decor is so charming and yes, I love themed tables, too.
I read your profile and we are tea sisters, I do believe. I start my day with a pot of tea and end it with a cup. I indulge myself and sip it while taking a bath at night.
Happy Easter!
Beautiful. I like the bunny napkin holders. I have similar but I am not at home this year to blog them. The embroidery is beautiful. A nice inspiring Easter table.
ReplyDeleteso lovely, can't believe it is too warm to be outside. It's bitter cold here in Southern Ontario.
ReplyDeleteYour alfresco tea is the perfect idea for an Easter party. Your darling table runner is just the right touch for the table. You are so correct about tablescapes for creating happiness in my life and I always enjoy a holiday theme. Have a great Easter!

What a lovely alfresco tea! The bunny napkin holders are too cute! I also have a Beehouse teapot--a black 2-cup teapot for everyday use (another thrift store find!).
ReplyDeleteThe Downton Estate Blend contains 2 of my favourite things--Downton Abbey and Earl Grey! It's too bad that the selection of DA teas are so limited in my neck of the woods. I've only had the English Rose (herbal) tea which I quite enjoy!
Happy Easter!
Your teacup Aurora is lovely and much sought after! I sold them for years until they closed. The company was called Herman Dodge - the man who owned it. I so loved that you shared at Friends Sharing Tea!
ReplyDeleteHi: Your tea cup is perfect. I have not seen one before. I too love to set holiday tables. Have a blessed Easter. Hugs, Martha
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor Easter tea table is just adorable with all the decor. I have some metal napkin rings similar to your bunnies but the hole is so small I can only get paper napkins inside.
ReplyDeleteLove the teacup, a pretty pattern that says spring.
Happy Easter.
Hi Nora,
ReplyDeleteI love all of your Easter pretties and your new teacup is gorgeous! Such pretty spring pastel tones in it's flower pattern. Have a wonderful Easter! Karen
Hi Nora, Happy Easter. I loved seeing all the special Easter things you have brought together for this very special occasion.
ReplyDeleteHi Nora! I LOVE holiday tables...and yours is terrific! I really liked the bunny napkin rings, and really all the other Easter touches. Your new teacup is very pretty too. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea...adore those napkin rings!! The scones look wonderful, too!
